Danny Seeton

Profile

As a passionate craft beer lover and member of the industry I have substantial knowledge of brewing on the home and production scale. I am active in the beer community with a special interest in education, serving as a guest lecturer at UBC in 2010 and the Education Liaison for CAMRA Vancouver from 2012-2015.

Experience

Lead Brewer, Shift Brewer 2013-present, 2012-2013
Parallel 49 Brewing Company, Vancouver, BC

Brewed multiple times daily on a 3 vessel 25hL manual system and participated in recipe development of year-round and seasonal beers. Assisted in the cellar with fermentation and yeast management, dry-hopping, DE filter and centrifuge operation, and monitoring the barrel program. Occasionally operated the keg washer/filler. Headed QC and Safety Committee meetings

QC Lab Technician and Packaging Labourer 2012-2013
Parallel 49 Brewing Company, Vancouver, BC

Started and ran the QC Lab as well as headed up blending trials variousbeers to achieve a consistent and desirable product.

Scheduling and team management
Assisted Head Brewer and Production Manager in brewery scheduling and relayed this to the brewing team.
